Alliance
Partnerships
The Alliance for
Innovation is founded on a principle of partnership. The Innovation
Groups reached out to the International City/County Management Association
(ICMA) and Arizona State University (ASU) and its School of Public Affairs,
to join with IG as partners in its mission to transform local
government and advance community excellence through the discovery
and application of leading ideas and practices.
We recognize local governments need to invest greater energy in
discovering new solutions to local government problems. Further, a
rigorous discipline to assess is needed to test and deploy solutions.
Through this unique partnership, IG transformed into the Alliance
for Innovation. The strengths that ICMA and ASU bring to the
Alliance creates a special collaborative forum for
learning, measured risk taking, exploration and discovery, and
sharing of knowledge and experience.
The Alliance
is also proud of it's relationships with many non-profit
associations
including the
Colorado Municipal League,
Illinois City/County Management Association,
League of Kansas Municipalities,
Maryland Municipal League,
Michigan Municipal League,
Mid-American Regional Council,
Missouri Municipal Management,
Municipal Managers League of Northern California,
Nevada League of Cities,
Virginia City/County Manager Association, and the
Washington City/Council Municipal Managers Association
